College Scholarships
LOCAL AREA SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE AT GEORGIA HERITAGE FCU
Each year, Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union offers two scholarships to High School seniors entering a college, university, or trade school after graduation. The scholarships, a $2,000 First Place prize and $1,500 Second Place prize are awarded to students who demonstrate a remarkable commitment to their studies and community. We are proud to announce the two winners of the 2024 Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union Scholarships!

Alaina Landing
First Place Recipient - $2,000 Award
Alaina Landing, our First Place winner, is an active member in her community giving back to various organizations including The National Honor Society, Backpack Buddies, and Spanish Honor Society where she served as the Vice President, just to name a few! Additionally, she is Captain of both the Colorguard and Winterguard, and plays the Saxophone! She plans to pursue a degree in Psychology and become a Mental Health Professional! Georgia Heritage FCU is so proud to award her this scholarship, and we are excited to see where she will go in the future!
Janiya Bennett
Second Place Recipient - $1,500 Award
Janiya Bennett, GHFCU 2024 Scholarship Second Place Winner, is an ambitious community leader, participating with multiple organizations to give back to her community, including CEMA, Second Harvest, Meals on Wheels, and more! She plans to become a Pediatric Surgeon and is already on the path to success- participating in multiple healthcare organizations, including Health Occupations Students of America where she serves as the treasurer.
