We at Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union make every effort to give back to the community whenever we can – and we often have a great time doing it!
Our team recently participated in the Nine Line Run and celebrated Earth Day, and we were grateful to be able to show our support for the betterment of the Savannah Metropolitan Area community and its residents.
Nine Line Run
Georgia Heritage FCU volunteers joined the Nine Line Foundation and Nine Line Apparel on Armed Forces Day – May 19, 2018 – for the fifth annual 5K/10K Run for the Wounded at Daffin Park in Savannah, Georgia.
Proceeds from the race will go directly toward the organization’s newest initiative: building a transitional community, a Veterans Village, for homeless veterans in Savannah.
Earth Day
The Savannah Earth Day celebrates the environmentally responsible community living and working in coastal Georgia. This festival serves as an important opportunity for local government, businesses, nonprofits, and community groups to connect with the public and each other. It is the city’s largest environmental outreach event of the year and one of the largest educational events in conjunction with Earth Day in Georgia.
Georgia Heritage FCU volunteers were proud to attend the event in support of the efforts.
