We’ve got a big announcement to make!
We have a new mascot:
A Highland Calf!
Our baby boy is cute as a button, but needs a name! We’re going to host our biggest contest yet, so you can help us choose a name while entering to win big by filling out the Google Form on this page. Our cow naming crew will then choose the top five answers, then we will host a voting round to help us choose the winner! Everyone who submits a name will be entered to win!
While we know everyone loves being at GHFCU, our fluffy new addition can't live AT the Credit Union, he will reside at Blue Sky Acres, a local therapeutic farm where he will help support animal-assisted therapy programs for individuals and families in the community.
Round 1 — Name Suggestion

First round winners announced ~4/8/2026
Prizes: Top 5 names win a $50 gift card each. 5 random entrants win a $20 gift card.
Round 2 — Voting (Not Open Yet)
Vote for your favorite from the top 5 nominees.
Deadline: April 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST
Second round opens ~4/8/2026
Prizes: Winning name wins a $250 gift card. 5 random voters each win a $15 gift card
Contest Rules
Open to anyone ages 18+ including members, Board of Directors, and Staff/Family of Staff ages 18+. Names must be original, family-friendly, and free of copyrighted or proprietary references (i.e., intellectual property of any person or entity); entrants that go against this will be disqualified. Round 1 closes 3/31/2026; top 5 announced ~4/8/2026; Round 2 voting runs ~4/9–4/23/2026. Credit Union staff (“Cow Crew”) review submissions anonymously and are not eligible to submit. Ties are broken by Cow Crew.
