Despite the declining use of checks in the U.S., criminals have been increasingly targeting the U.S. mail to commit check fraud. Authorities recommend that you avoid mailing checks and if you do, that you place them in a secure mail drop such as inside of a U.S. post office. Placing checks in your personal mailbox with a red flag up is not advisable, neither is placing in a blue mail collection box as they have been targeted for theft as well.

As we transition your accounts onto our systems, please note from January 1, 2024, through March 28, 2024, it will be business as usual for you, unless you are looking for a new loan or share product. Continue to use your online banking account and continue to visit your current branch at 102 Main Street, Garden City, or call 912-964-3995 for any financial questions or concerns.


G.P.A. CU Debit cards and online banking system will cease on March 29th, 2024, members will be without account access/ debit cards from March 29th until April 1st, 2024 when the new GHFCU cards are able to be activated.

Members must be prepared for this blackout period ahead of time.

  • Debit Cards: New cards will be issued to members and arrive in the mail sometime before April 1st. Please do not activate your new GHFCU debit card until April 1st, 2024. The new cards will not work prior to April 1st.
  • Automatic Debit Card Payments: Members who have any auto payments set up with their debit cards will need to re-setup those payments after April 1st once your new debit cards are active
  • G.P.A. CU Online Banking: The G.P.A. CU online banking system will cease on March 29th, members will need to enroll in GHFCU online banking on or after April 1st.
  • G.P.A. CU Bill Pay: Bill Pay will end on March 26th. No payments can be scheduled after March, 26th. Members will have the ability to set up a new bill pay with GHFCU once the system merger is completed on April 1st, 2024.
During the first quarter of 2024, we will be working on transitioning your G.P.A. Credit Union accounts to our Georgia Heritage Federal Credit Union operating systems. We plan to have all your accounts integrated into our system by April 1, 2024. At that point, you will be able to start utilizing our four branches and you will be able to set up your online banking.

If you are looking to add a new loan or share product, before April 1, 2024 please stop by one of our four branches and simply let our employees know you are currently a member of G.P.A. Credit Union and they will be more than happy to assist you.
